Our Story Begins Here

Pastor Jeremy Lefler serves as the lead pastor of Upper Room Church, Westfield where he is passionate about helping people encounter the presence of God and grow in authentic community. With a calling to church planting and a heart for discipleship, Jeremy is dedicated to seeing lives transformed through the power of the Gospel and the work of the Holy Spirit.

Before launching Upper Room, Jeremy faithfully served in various pastoral positions at other notable, area churches, where he developed a deep love for building teams and cultivating a culture of community, prayer, and outreach.

His dream is to see every corner of Hamilton County engaged with the gospel - not through large gatherings alone, but through the quiet, faithful presence of disciple-makers who multiply themselves into new communities until the city is saturated with the life-giving message of the love of Jesus.

By multiplying communities of faith in living rooms and neighborhoods, Upper Room can embody the gospel in everyday spaces, bringing the hope of Jesus into an influential city that is growing and in need of spiritual renewal.

Pastor Jeremy, his wife Sara (and their son) love investing in people and creating spaces where discipleship happens. When he’s not doing church-related things, you can find him golfing, at IU basketball games, visiting state and national parks, and camping with his family and friends.

Jeremy holds a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University as well as a doctorate degree in Spiritual Formation from Liberty University.

Molly Koebel serves as the Executive Director of Ministry for Upper Room Church, Westfield.

Before joining Pastor Jeremy in the launching of Upper Room, she has been on staff at three different churches between wonderful stints of being a stay at home mom.

She has a heart for creating genuine community and for people to feel seen, known, and cared for. She loves developing systems and atmospheres where authenticity can thrive and where joy emerges as people come together, allowing life change through Jesus to occur naturally.

Molly, her husband Mike (and their sons) love being active and visiting new places and eating good food. When she’s not doing church-related things, you can find her planning their next family trip or outing, spending time with other mom-friends, dabbling in graphic design, or aggressively snuggling her two Siberian cats.

Molly holds double bachelor’s degrees in Bible and Youth Ministry with an emphasis in Urban Ministry from Moody Bible Institute and a master’s degree in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship from Moody Theological Seminary.
